Will permanent teeth arise normally after a pulpectomy?

My daughter needs a pulpectomy, but someone told me that the permanent tooth cant grow after the procedure.

Will permanent teeth arise normally after a pulpectomy?
A pulpectomy only removes infected nerve tissue from a primary tooth. It does not affect the underlying permanent tooth. If anything it can help because it allows the child to keep that tooth until it is time to lose it, thus holding space for the eruption of the permanent tooth. If a primary tooth is lost early, it can cause crowding of the permanent teeth. So think of a pulpectomy as a way to get your child out of pain now, and protect her teeth in the future.
Reply:That is totally false. A pulpotomy is a procedure performed on a baby tooth to preserve the space until the permanent tooth comes in.
