i am not sure if the teeth came out whole or not my other sister said it did.it was his two canines.he is a pit bull.he was chewing on his cage and broke his teeth and she hasnt taken him to the vet and is putting mouth wash in his mouth to stop any infection from occuring.what should she do tonite?and is mouthwash a good idea?

If it%26#039;s his canine teeth, I GUARANTEE they didn%26#039;t come out completely. The root is almost twice as long as the part you can see.
It really depends on how bad the break is, if you can see a red spot in the center of the tooth, that means the pulp cavity (nerve and blood supply) is exposed, and the tooth/teeth will need to be professionally removed or capped (it%26#039;s hard to find a vet that can cap teeth). If the teeth are NOT removed or capped, then bacteria will have an open door into the dog%26#039;s bloodstream, the teeth will be at constant risk for tooth root abscesses (that open pulp cavity is a nice home for bacteria), and it will also be very painful as the tooth root is exposed to open air.
The mouthwash is pretty worthless, and human mouthwash is very harsh for dogs, and potentially toxic if it contains fluoride (dogs don%26#039;t spit it out like we do). Not much you can do until a vet sees it.

Reply:mouthwash is for humans only. my dog lost a tooth and we didnt notice for a long time, nothing bad happened. canines are big teeth tho, if there is a root on the tooth a vet may be able to put it back.

Reply:He is obviously very frustrated inside the cage. Give him four or five really hard bones and dental bones to work on. He really wants to be outside that cage.
Reply:Why is the dog caged and how long is he being kept in that cage are more pressing than trying to correct damage already done. Dogs need exercise, human contact and dog safe toys to chew on. If he is caged most of the time, no wonder he broke his teeth, trying to chew his way out. Take him to a vet and let the vet treat his mouth with safe medications and procedures, The dog may need to have the remainder of the broken teeth extracted and put on an antibiotic to prevent infection. Don`t attempt to treat at home, get him to a vet ASAP.

What did it cost for the permanent teeth to be manufactured and installed after implants for the upper set?
I am about to undergo surgery to remove my upper teeth and have implants installed. I was wondering if anyone knows what the cost for the permanant teeth that will attach to the implant once the healing is completed have cost. Is it the same as a regular crown or is it less costly?

Actually the crowns that are placed on top of your implants are usually a little more expensive due to the fact that they are made of more material than regular crowns. If I were you I would def. find out how much they are going to cost before you have all of your perm. maxillary teeth removed. You may have what is called an overdenture placed on top of your implants. You need to give more information, like how many implants are you going to have placed? Will you have individual crowns placed, or an over denture?

Should I have to get a rpe and 4 adult teeth pulled just so there is enough room for my canine teeth to come down since i have a small mouth.Also will the rpe hurt alot or a lilttle when i turn it every night.

All they do is put the tiniest needle in the world(you cant feel it cause they put it in the way back)and your gums are numb. Then they just sway to the left and right with pliers and it doesnt hurt or anything. After that they put cotton ball like things where it was at and stuff. It may hurt so you have to eat soft foods and DONT drink out of straws

my teeth is not straight and i am planning to get braces. i am wondering how dentists take off the teeth, since the teeth stick into your jaw so strong.
P.S. I know dentist will give u a shot b4 taking off the teeth so that u feel numb. however...do u really feel nothing? what does it feel like?

Teeth are pulled and it hurts like he ll!! I had to have four pulled about two years ago, worst pain I ever experienced. The dentist was pulling with all his strength, even braced his foot on the chair I was sitting in.

Reply:dentists regularly have to remove permanent teeth prior to orthodontic treatment. this is to make space for the teeth to move and straighten. dental anaesthetic only eliminates pain, not feeling. for example: after the injection you will not feel pain, but you will feel the pressure of the tooth being moved in its socket. teeth are held in place my a periodontal membrane/ligament which acts as a shock absorber allowing the tooth to move a little if knocked for example. after a bit of easing by your dentist it will come out. follow your dentists instructions for after the extraction and you should get no pain. good luck!

Normally if size of if jaw is good enough to accommodate total teeth in straight line, they do not remove the permanent teeth.
But in case the jaw does not offer enough space to take all the 16 teeth in straight row, addtional space is crearted to get the protruding teeth inside.
It is very much a prctice and done at the chice of the patients.
