What is the difference of crown to root ratio between deciduous and permanent teeth?

How would you say that a tooth is deciduous or permanent solely based on the crown to root ratio

What is the difference of crown to root ratio between deciduous and permanent teeth?
On an adult tooth the crown root ratio is 2 to 1. The root under the gum should be twice as long as the crown portion above the gum line. This is not an issue with a deciduous tooth in most cases for many reasons, a few are: root resportion - the root slowly dissolves when the adult tooth starts to push up against it. Most dentists don%26#039;t crown a deciduous tooth and if they do it is usually a stainless steel pre-formed crown because the deciduous tooth is not meant to be maintained as an adult tooth. Also the roots of a deciduous tooth, posterior, are splayed and other adjacent teeth can also resorb the tooth roots as well.

Hope that helps
